Sadly Missed
My late brother

Finally...you get to meet who is behind our kennel....or do you??

I'm not a person to step in front of the camera and frankly just don't like em. As for my kids....not a problem!!

Anyways, in our family there is my husband, Murray...who some have met already. He's my 'Jake da muss'   He really is a gentle giant!
He was born and raised in Papakura, where I was from Manurewa....man I sooooo hated that shit hole! He was right into his League when I met him....oh and his booze lol....but League was his passion!! He is such a hard working person, that's all I've known him to do. He has a great attitude and he is forever making me laugh, even when I'm pissed off he certainly knows how to turn my big frown into a giggle! Ya just gotta get to know him and when people do, they cling onto him! He's just fun to be around with.
Murray now helps coach/train the league kids and plays himself when he can. Currently also on the BOT at our kids school and loving it!
Murray had always loved the Rottweiler and we owned a couple before we got into American staffys.

We have 5 gorgeous children, 4 girls and 1 boy. Married in 2000, we have been together since 1989...I knowwww, isn't that a long time huh!

A bit about me, well not much to tell actually from what I have already stated. Friends and family call me by my nick names; Nicky, Nic and Nix....Born in 1973, i was raised most of my life in Manurewa...so naturally, hated that place. Eldest of 2 sisters and a brother.

My dad a kiwi born 'dutchman' and my mum, kiwiborn maori so I guess that would make me 1/4 Dutch/Maori/Kiwi ahe. Hubs likes to just call me 'pakeha' or 'palangi' *rolls eyes* (sorry if i mis-spelt)

I have always had a love/passion for animals...not all, but of course your moggy cats n mutts. I was brought up around Stock cars and trucks.  Loved the stock cars and soon got to love Fishing!!!  I'd also have to say I have my dads sense of humor and Wit but yeah, I'm a bit blonde on a daily basis LMAO
Can't spell for shit or pronounce hard words with more than 2 sylabells!! Have a passion for animals, (i'm sure i just said that?)movies, fishing, stock cars, Playboy bunny gear, dragons, dream catchers and the spiritual life (No not churchie stuff, more of the "Other Side" to which I do communicate with myself) No I'm not weird LOL...but I also don't shove it people's faces. So yes, I do get messages from the 'other side'....Seem to get alot of orbs lately!
I'm also the type of person to be up front and open...which some don't like, but well...it's better to be truthful than not ahe...I can't stand bullshit artists and those who are dreamers or think they are better than everyone else!!

I met my first Amstaff, after contacting a breeder for a male pup to be apart of our family in 2003. I fell in love instantly with their wee runt, Jimmy. He turned out to be a big boy who loved and adored us all. He was raised by our youngest daughter at that time, only being 9mths apart in age. Showing at the time didn't interest me, nor did I know anything about it.
It wasn't until early 2004 we thought we would have a go at showing so entered a Ribbon Parade. Wasn't for us at that time, so bailed out. Then in 2005 we had another go LOL....So far we have stuck with it and we have come a long way in understanding the Show world and the breeding world. I decided to step back and start over - the RIGHT way. I retired my dogs from breeding and decided to find a nice Amstaff with some bone, which is what we like....I am now privileged in owning 4 beautiful dogs that are doing us very proud in and out of the show ring.
Sadly though, due to a more serious health condition, I have had to take a small step back from dog showing, but my daughter Kriscilla has had to step in. During my pregnancy, an incident triggered a heart condition that took us by surprise....We deal with this on a daily basis and hope surgery will 'repair' the fault. My husband has been so awesome and has given me all his love and support throughout our ordeal! He even took 3 months off work to care for me during the last part of my pregnancy and for the first month of bubs growing up.
So as bubs grows, and our lives carry on, we deal with this as best as we can, but I also don't let it rule my life. I sometimes still jump into the ring and hope like hell the judge don't make us go around too many times LMAO
MY daughter has and is doing extremely well in the show ring, improving every time! She has had so much help from some great friends, she is finally enjoying the show scene. We are both learning together and we thank all those who have helped us get where we are today!
There is one little piece of advise I'd like to give in regards to the showing and breeding world...you do need a thick skin but always remember, the ones who do the talking behind your back are the ones with the egg on their faces! *does the Chur nod*
Currently busy with my kids and dogs I also do the Petline for Pets on the Net. I am apart of the Terrier Club committee and have taken on the role as their 'Tales' editor and webmaster. Keeps me busy and i love the work load. I am also studying in between to be a certified Web designer. I currently maintain several websites and can do up websites for anyone who is wanting something quick and easy through Bravehost.

So yeah, that's a little run down on us. Just ya typical family really, cept with wise cracks and insults. If ya fall over, don't expect any sympathy from this family LOL....You will get a quick and perky "Haa Haaa" with a pointed finger and "Did that hurt?" remark (or worse)

Here's a few pics now...but you probably just skipped all the above anyways ahe!!!
